Speech Therapy For Toddlers Journal
Hi, welcome to speech therapy for toddlers. This site is dedicated to my son Nathan. Nathan is currently 4 years old, soon he will be 5 years old in July. Yeah, I am writing a journal about my son’s speech progress. So far he is making progress through this special program with some supplement help. I will also write how Nathan’s speech progress is going along. If you have toddler late talker who is in same situation as me then this might also help you.
Let’s talk a little bit of history about Nathan. Nathan started to walk when he was 1 years old. That’s considered normal. Most babies start to walk around that time. Some start to walk earlier. But when he was 2 years old, he still didn’t know how to talk. We were getting worried. So we find out more information to get him into speech therapy programs like PPCD. We brought him to an elementary school around here and had a 1 hour meeting with them. Actually, we talked about Nathan for 30 minutes and the other 30 minutes they were just monitoring or evaluating him. At the end of the meeting, they did determine that he has delayed speech.
They were letting him start school on September 2008 for 3 hours every Monday through Friday. He’s not only delayed in speech, but he is also too hyper. He wouldn’t be still for 30 seconds. Most of the time he’s running around the house and getting into things. He’s also helping me to lose weight by chasing after him non stop. He’s very tiring, but we love him very much.
Thank you for stopping by speech therapy for toddlers. We hope you will enjoy your stay.
